Award distribution ceremony to felicitate two Zonal Winners of ISTE-SRMC 2013 - Yatin Sachdeva (Roll No 14121) and Trishant Mallik (Roll No. 14110), from Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was conducted at the college campus. Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) along with National Boards of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) and Institute of Mathematical Science (IMSc), Madras conducts various events such as mathematical quiz, testing the numerical abilities, arranging series of lectures and conducting seminars & workshops etc. Under this program, ISTE organized “Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematical Competitions - 2013” across the country on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of to the great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan on 2nd March 2013.

The competitive examination was conducted at three levels namely ISTE Chapter Level, Zonal Level and National Level. This project was financially supported by National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai for the technical guidance and support. Students from various engineering college across India participated in the Competition.

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon conducted all three levels viz Chapter Level, Zonal Level and National Level. Two students Yatin Sachdeva (Roll No 14121) and Trishant Mallik (Roll No. 14110), from 6th Semester of Computer Science & Engineering Department won the Zonal Level. Yatin Sachdeva got first prize in Zonal Level with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/- along with Trophy and Certificate of Merit. Trishant Malik got second prize at Zonal Level with a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- along with Trophy and Certificate of Merit.
