On 2nd September 2013, the department of Computer Science Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon conducted a one-day workshop on “SQL Server” under the Alumni Interaction Program. The expert Mr.Tejesh Tyagi an alumnus of the college and presently the Founder of Tejmay Technologies, Delhi disseminated the scope, significance and applications of SQL Server.

During the workshop, he explained the topics like Windows Deployment for SQL Server, Solution Design, Database creation, security and maintenance; Firewall & services configuration etc. He had a practical session as well to make the students sound enough in the application of SQL Server technology.

More than 300 students from Information Technology Department, Electronics and Computer Science Department and Computer Science Engineering Department of the college attended the workshop.

The workshop was useful as the attendees imbibed how to install, secure, configure, administer, monitor, tune and troubleshoot SQL Server. They also practiced how to capture performance data using SQLDIAG, DBA, SQL Nexus, Profiler etc. Over all, it was a satisfying and a good learning experience for the students.
