A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP “TECHUNT-2013”

 
 

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a two-day workshop “Techunt-2013” in association with Nurture Talent Academy and Computer Society of India (CSI) from 22nd August to 23rd August 2013. The objective of this workshop was to encourage students about technology entrepreneurship, creative thinking and cultivate innovative thinking.

 

During this workshop a number of technicalevents like Training Workshop + Conference + Tech Fair + Business Plan Contest + National Award were conducted. The workshop was delivered by seasoned professionals and experts. Most of them were IIT/IIM Graduates. They covered different sessions like ice-breaking session, idea generation exercises using a newspaper, Android & Architecture, User Interface, SQLite Open, Elevator Pitch & Competition, Creativity game & innovation mobile apps. The trainers used code examples and exercises to cover the topics in an interactive hands-on manner.

 

Mr. Amit Grover Founder, Nurture Talent Academy, Mr. Praveen Samariya: - Co-founder of Alleviate Tech and Rajat Sharma the CEO, Thot labs enlightened the attendees on different technical topics like Web service Data Handling, Mathematical Games, Apps with google map integration, RSS feed handlers, Applications utilizing Bluetooth and Sensor APIs, Application using Database interaction, Working on Healthcare application with device integration etc.

 

The workshop provided an opportunity to improve career prospects by learning nascent technologies in mobile, web domain; android/i-phone, SEO/SEM etc. A total of 192 students participated in the workshop got the participation certificate along with the hand on experience and exposure to the android applications. 40 Groups presented their mobile application in front of the judges and top 3 groups were selected for the 2nd round and mentorship by the NTC. Team Constitution, Blood Donation App. & Fashion Frenzy got the first three positions respectively.
