A one day workshop was organized by the ECE deptt. on 11th Sep 13 on the topic “Mobile Apps”. Ms. Kusum Dhar from NIIT started the session by giving examples of different apps used for educational purpose. Information about various tools was given and a demo was given in which the audience learnt how a simple app of calculator is made. Students were asked to give ideas on how to improve this app. Later on, a doubt clearing session followed in which students were asked questions about creation of multimedia apps.

Representatives from NIIT also explained the job prospects for the students in the field of Mobile App Development. They were also told about the companies involved in development of mobile apps. Later, students were counseled on what NIIT can offer the students in a 3 months diploma program on Mobile Apps Development.
