The objective of the lecture was to share the principles and current research on Mobile Communication and Network, Network operation, Test equipment etc. He stated that human beings need communication for survival and success and have used every possible means from fire, drums, birds to modern means like paper, wire line, wireless etc. Two major drivers of modern telecom were digitalization &mobility and the third driver is the use of IP addressing scheme in various modes. He also discussed GSM system architecture and interfaces, WAP protocols, Cellular structure, reuse pattern andvarious access technologies. |
