He spotlighted some questions which are queried by the interviewer often and also kit out some fruitful tips to overcome it.
1. He initiated with the query “Tell me about yourself ?” which is most commonly queried by all the interviewers. He pointed out that, this query correlates the personal interests and Preferences, the employer is actually looking for the general information about the interviewee’s background tied in with academic history and interests which ultimately led to choose the career path.
2. Secondly he stated that Interviewer will query about the reason behind choosing the company and what do you know about the company?
He guided the students to have a detailed look about the company (i.e.) Know about the age of the company, key persons of the company. Make survey about “Has the company been in News recently?” so that if you appear well prepared, the Interviewer will come to know that you are someone who is interested genuinely in the company and designation.
3. Thirdly he chewed over about the query “Why should the company hire you?” He succored the students by guiding how to answer and how to overcome the situation. He said furnish at least 3 of your strongest personal qualities or skills that would be relevant to the designation. Use some examples to make your case such as ex. I represented a team of 12 members of IEEE, etc.
4. Finally he enlightened the students with the query “Can you tell me about three greatest strengths and weakness of you?”
He guided the students to be positive and focus on at least 3 strengths that relate to the working environment. (ex. You motivate others, you are highly flexible, etc) in detail. Also include some additional personal qualities such as honesty, integrity, enthusiasm, etc.
He disclosed that be careful with the weakness you choose to discuss. For ex. Don’t say you are habitually lazy, you always have shy feeling, etc.
Focus on weakness that could also be perceived as strengths. (ex. You are always interested with focusing in depth).
