Prof. (Dr.) Vinay Nassa from Electronics and Communication Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one-day 3rd National Summit on Academia-Corporate Interface for Up skilling Leaders of Tomorrow organizedby PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry at PHD House, New Delhi on 10th December 2013.

The objective of this summit was to have an exposure on various aspects of accreditation of education, Digitization needs and the impact in education as well as linkage of industry for curriculum reforms.Inaugurating the summit Mr. Alok. B. Sharma, Vice President, PHD Chamber, who welcomed all the delegates, discussed the concern of less industry-academia interface and less autonomy to the higher learning institutes in India. In the key note address Prof. Dinesh Singh , Vice–Chancellor, University of Delhi, emphasized on the need of real education in institutes of Higher learning rather than traditional still prevailing western education system in India.

Mr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, Education Committee PHD Chamber, presented the theme of summit explaining lack of standards in academics, need of openness mindset to provide research opportunities to academia by industry.Other distinguished speakers and moderators Prof. R. Over 100 delegates from diverse backgrounds like academics, Industryand Government Departments attendedthe summit.It ended with a vote thanks by Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Co-chairman education committee PHD Chamber. He expressed his gratitude to the guest speakers and delegates. The summit was useful as the attendees got a wonderful opportunity to interact with the representatives of academia and corporate.
