IIT Delhi organized an International Workshop on "COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE: THEORIES, APPLICATIONS AND FUTURE DIRECTIONS" on 13th and 14th July 2013. This workshop is the joint initiative by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, Delhi Chapter and Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Delhi to enhance the awareness of the problem solving abilities of Computational Intelligence (CI) tools and techniques in various domains of science and engineering.

Three faculty members Mrs. Seema Das, Mrs. Ashu Soni, Mrs. Shwetla Barwal from Electronics & Communication Engineering department represented Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.

The basic objective of this workshop was to bring together the academics, scientists and researchers to disseminate the technical as well as theoretical knowledge related to Computational intelligence.

More than 50 participants across the country participated in the workshop and enhanced their knowledge through the lectures delivered by eminent professors from IIT Delhi, Prof. B.K Panigrahi and Prof. S. Choudhary.

During the workshop, the practical applications of some specific computational tools like PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization), DE (Differential Evolution), Multivariate techniques, FL (Fuzzy logic), NN (Neural networks), Anti recognition were discussed.

The workshop was a great learning experience as the participants were imparted with a better understanding of the current state of research on computational intelligence.
