A two-day workshop on “Advanced Android Game Development” was organized by VMDD Technologies at Hackveda Appsec Labs, New Delhi from 7th to 8th September, 2013.

Eleven students from Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the workshop.

The objective of this workshop was to make the students well- conversant with Android basics, Android approach, Basic XML, Android Structure etc. The Project Head Mr. Devanshu Shukla imparted the students with the knowledge of various tools used in the Android Environment like the Window Manager, Effective Gaming, Event Handling, Data Handling, Graphics Handling and Music Handling.

The students got an opportunity to work on different programming and coding activities. They also participated in the competition to win an HCL-ME Tablet. Vineet Rathi (Roll No. 14248), a student of V Semester (ECE Department) won 3rd prize in the competition and also received a letter of appreciation.

All participants were given “Android Game Developer” Certificate by the Director of Hackveda, New Delhi.

The workshop was a good learning experience for the students as they learnt how to develop Android Games.
