A one-day National Seminar on “Mobile Technologies and Cyber Laws” was held on 25th May 2013 at MOTA Hall of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. It was cosponsored by IEEE TMC, IEEE CS & IEEE Education Society Chapters and Network Affinity Group of Delhi Section.

Prof. A. N. Mahajan and Mr. Chandra Shekhar Singh from Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the National Seminar and got the opportunity to enhance their knowledge through the lectures of Prof. K. Subramanian, Ex-Director, Advanced Center for Informatics & Innovative Learning, IGNO & Ex-DDG (NIC), Ministry of Communication & IT and Adviser to CAG, Govt. of India; Dr. V. S. R. Krishnaiah, Senior Director, NIC, Govt. of India and Mr. Pavan Duggal, Advocate, The Supreme Court of India, and The President, ACLA (Asian Cyber Laws Association), New Delhi.

Delivering a lecture on “Managing Yourself”, Dr. V. S. R. Krishnaiah emphasized on self- actualization, discipline, communication skills, perseverance, introspection, positive aptitude and attitude to become a successful performer in a profession of one’s choice.

Another distinguished speaker Mr. Pavan Duggal enlightened the participants on “Mobile Technologies and Cyber Laws”. He discussed various legal aspects and acts related to Cyber Crimes, Information Technologies, Hacking, Phishing etc. taking place in the present Hi-tech world.

Overall, the seminar was elaborative, informative and useful to the participants as they learnt different technical and legal concepts and practices occurring in the present world.
