The Spoken Tutorial Resource Centre of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in association with IIT-Bombay organised a one-day FDP on May 19th, 2014 for Computer Science Department on Java.

The project under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), Union ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. Of India aimed to spread IT literacy across the nation. It was conducted by Mrs. Chitra Kaul, the Coordinator, Spoken Tutorial Resource Centre.

In the inaugural address of the FDP, Prof. ( Dr.) M.N Hussain, Principal, DCE, Gurgaon motivated the staff members to learn open source software and to use the same in increasing productivity of the office work without incurring any extra cost.

A total of twenty faculty members from CSE Department of DCE, Gurgaon appeared for online test and earned their certificates after successful completion of the same.
