Four faculty members Mrs. Himanshi, Mr. Amar Saraswat, Ms. Pratibha, Ms. Sarita from CSE Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one day Engineering and Science Innovation Summit organized by National Instruments at Hotel Park Inn, Gurgaon on 4th June 2014.

The Speaker, Mr. Gautam discussed the use of the various instruments in providing the high quality education to our students. The main objective of this summit was to give more exposure to the practical training rather than theory based learning. National Instruments manufacture the instruments for the students of various branches of engineering such as Computer Science, Civil , Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.

The speaker discussed about the various advantages of using Labview. The various programs or subroutines in Labview 2013 were also explained. He talked about the Web services which enable the invocation of a method on a remote target using standard Web-based protocols.

The participants also came to know how the implementation and use of these instruments can lead to overall development, ability to improve the imaginations and implement those imagined ideas into real and do research accordingly.

The summit was useful and the participants learnt different applications of NI instruments.
