On 21st February 2014 Mr. Chain Singh, Assistant Professor from Computer Science and Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a summit on 4th ICT in Education at the Park Hotel, Connaugt Place, New Delhi. The objective of this summit was to discuss the relevance and proper direction of ICT usage in Education as it has become fundamental element in the education system, which improves the quality of education through blended learning by supplementing the traditional chalk board since the students can acquire skills like digital literacy, innovative thinking, creativity and effective communication.

The distinguished speakers Prof. Rajaram S. Sharma, Joint-Director, CIET- NCERT; Mr J.R. Kaim, Director-Education, North Delhi Municipal Corporation; Prof. Marmar Mukhopadhyay Chairman Education Technology & Management Academy, New Delhi; Dr. Alok Bharadwaj, Executive Vice-President, Canon India Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Vijay Shukla, Managing Partner - Eduvisors; Ms. Vineeta Mittal, Principal - The Millennium School, Gurgaon; Ms. Manju Rajput, Modern School (Junior) etc enlightened the audience through their lecture and panel discussions. They also emphasized on the up- gradation of present education system particularly in India.

They said that ICT has a wide impact on education right from spreading awareness about the courses to lead generation for education institutions, simplifying registration processes and enhancing the delivery mechanisms for the students. It also makes education faster, flexible and much more interesting.

The summit was useful as the attendees learnt the methodology of ICT applications in imparting Education.
