On 31st May 2014 Prof. Vishal Bharti HOD, CSE Department and Prof. Vijender Hooda, IT Department represented Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in the award ceremony of  Compudon 2014.

COMPUDON, a gateway to the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship is a platform for students to showcase their mastery in using Microsoft Office applications. Eligible students from across India competed for the title of “India Champions” and up to 6 winners proudly represented India at the “Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship” a fully sponsored trip by CyberLearning in July 2014 at Disneyland, California, USA.

Cyber Learning the award winning provider of IT learning and certification solutions for academic and workforce segments and the company that brought the Microsoft Office Specialist Certification to India, announced the COMPUDON Season IV India Champions in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, culminating India's most popular and the only validated technology skills competition on Microsoft Office since its inception in 2011.

The winners of the championship were given medals, certificates and awards by eminent Guests including: Ms. Fiona Collins (VP - Pearson VUE), Mr. Pratik Mehta (Head Education- Microsoft), Mr. Pankaj Dikshit (Area Lead - Microsoft Learning Experiences), Mr. Jeffrey Lewis (VP Certiport Sales, India/ Japan/Australia), and Mr. Pankaj Rai, Director & CEO - CyberLearning. The 6 winners were crowned as India Champions in their respective MS Office application and version out of which 2 qualifying India Champions - Arjit Kansal in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010 and Shashank Batra in Microsoft Office Excel 2007 also earned themselves an all-expense paid trip to the 2014 Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship to be held in July 2014 in Disneyland, California, USA.

In its IVth year, the COMPUDON Championship continued to grow in popularity as more students around the country realize the value of earning an industry-recognized technology certification.
