Three budding technocrats Aman Purohit (Roll No. 14008), Vipul Asri (Roll No. 14116) and Nishant Narula (Roll No. 14123) from Computer Science and Engineering department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a three- day event Geek'a'Holic - Addicted to CODE organized by Hackaholic IT Services and Samsung Developers in association with Stirring Minds from 24th to 26th January 2014.

The main aim of this mega android hackthon was to develop Android applications in regional languages to meet the needs of mobile user in India. In the opening address Mr. Chandan Mishra, the Marketing Professional of Samsung motivated the participants to build the Vernacular Mobile Applications.

The participants from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon secured the First Rank for making a mobile application “Sahyog” and were awarded with the certificate, Galaxy Note 3 and a trip to Rishikesh. The main idea behind this application was to bring the social causes in front of the people so the user can come forward and provide a helping hand in the social causes.

This technical event provided the platform for the young generation to bring out their hidden talent.
