A group of 11 NSS volunteers (Gunjan Chhillar, Roll No.14031; Manisha Yadav, Roll No. 14047; Rupa Kumari, Roll No. 14124; Sarita Rani, Roll No. 14233; Sneha Kumari, Roll No. 14500 ; Shiva Sharma, Roll No. 14236; Aakash Ahlawat, Roll No. 14268; Sanjay Yadav, Roll No. 14368; Deepak Kumar, Roll No. 14414 ; Deepak Phahuja, Roll No. 14549; Jitender Kuma, Roll No. 14612) along with NSS Program Officer Mr. Ashok Kumar from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a Ten day Adventure Camp organized and sponsored by Ministry Of Youth Affairs & Sports, NSS Regional Centre New Delhi.

The camp was scheduled from 22nd Feb, 2014 to 03rd March, 2014 at AVIMAS-Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied sports (Regional Mountaineering Centre) Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh.

Under the kind guidance of Incharge Ms. Anuja Awasthi, Instructors Mr. Brij Lal Thakur & Ms. Sapna AVIMAS-Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied sports (Regional Mountaineering Centre) Mcleodganj, Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh attained its goal. AVIMAS has highly dynamic and experienced instructors to trained the youth for mountaineering. The camp was full of adventure, thrill and learning folded together. The volunteers visited different historical places and actively involved in some other tasks like Rock-Climbing, Hurdle - Crossing, Knot-Making, Rappelling, Wall Climbing, River-Crossing etc. Various cultural activities were also performed by NSS Volunteers of DCE Gurgaon. There was Badge distribution by the Incharge Ms. Anuja Awasthi. Two NSS Volunteers received special badges : Shiva Sharma, Roll No. 14236 for best trainee and second to Gunjan Chhiller, Roll No. 14031 for Keep the Himalayan Clean.

The camp ended with certificate distribution. The NSS Programme Officer Mr. Ashok Kumar expressed his heart felt gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, NSS Regional Centre New Delhi , Incharge & Staff Regional Mountaineering Centre Dharamshala (HP) and NSS Volunteers for their contribution in organizing this wonderful ten days adventure camp successfully.

It was a very nice camp including punctuality, thrill and learning various physical as well as cultural activities.
