Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) joined hands with National Boards of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) and Institute of Mathematical Science (IMSc) Madras to conduct various events such as mathematical quiz, testing the numerical abilities, arranging series of lectures and conducting seminars & workshops etc. Under this program ISTE organized “Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematical competitions – 2013” on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of to the great mathematician of India ‘Srinivasa Ramanujan. The competitive examination was conducted at three levels namely ISTE Chapter Level (30th August 2013), Zonal Level (9th November 2013) and National Level (25th Jan 2014).

Students from various engineering college across Country participated in the Competition. Two students Yatin Sachdeva (Roll No 14121) and Trishant Mallik (Roll No. 14110), from 6th Semester of Computer Science & Engineering Department won the Zonal Level. Yatin Sachdeva got first prize in Zonal Level with a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-along with Trophy and certificate. Trishant Malik got second prize at Zonal Level with a cash prize of Rs. 2000/- along with Trophy and certificate.
