INNOVATION AWARDS-2012

Three projects (Smart Energy Saver and Lighting Control using ZIGBEE, LCD Display Smart Baby Incubator and e-passport using RFID) from Electronics & Communication Engineering Department at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon were short - listed for jury awards organised by “Employability Times” in association with BST (Boot Strap Today) at College of Engineering, Pune on the occasion of National Technology Day, 11 May 2012.

The project ‘Smart Energy Saver and Lighting Control using ZIGBEE’ designed by a group of students Avyashree Singh, Ankita Sethi, Amita, Aarti and Deepika under the guidance of Mr. Ajit Kumar, Assistant Professor got the BEST JURY AWARD. Next project ‘LCD Display Smart Baby Incubator’ fabricated by a Dronacharyan Saniya Puri under the supervision of Prof. (Mrs.) A. N. Mahajan was conferred the SECOND BEST JURY AWARD.

Prof. (Mrs.) A. N. Mahajan (Professor, Deptt of E&CE), Mrs. Swati Jha (Associate Professor, Deptt of E&CE) and Mr. Vijay Wakhlu (Associate Professor, Deptt of Mechanical Engineering) along with five students Saniya Puri, Avyashree Singh, Ankita Sethi, Amita and Deepika attended the award function.

Distributing the Awards and Certificates, Dr. Anil Sahastrabuddhe (Director, College of Engineering, Pune), Dr. Ganesh Natrajan (CEO, Zensar Technology and Member NASSCOM), Mr. Nitin Bhide (CTO/Co-founder, Sensible Softwares Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Ajay Chhajed (President of Pune City Congress Committee) and Mr. Milind Kshirsagar (Founder Tirubaa Pvt. Ltd.) appreciated the efforts put in by Dronacharyans. They congratulated the students and also encouraged them to make the technical projects for the welfare of society and mankind in general.
