Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in associated with NITTTR, Chandigarh MHRD, Govt.of India conducted five days workshop on Induction Training Programme through ICT from 18th-22nd March, 2014 with the sincere effort of Prof. Vishal Bharti, HOD Computer Science and Engineering Department.

The programme started with the Inaugural Ceremony and Introduction to the Course with presence of Dr. M P Poonia, Dr. P K Tulsi and Dr. S S Patnaik from NITTTR Chandigarh .The next session on the first day was conducted by Dr. Sunil Dutt on “Instructional Planning and Delivery” and the next session was conducted by Er. Amardev Singh on “Intellectual Property Rights”.

The second day of the programme started with the topic “Institutional Leadership” delivered by Dr. M P Poonia. The next session discussed the most important topic i.e. how to organize practical work/lab work/field work/ project work etc. conducted by Er. P K Singla. The last session of the day was conducted by Dr. (Mrs.) M Dutta on “e-Content Generation and Distribution”.

The first session of the third day was taken by Dr. P K Tulsi and she discussed on “Oral Communication skills”. The second session was delivered by Dr. Rakesh Vats and he discussed on “Developing Creativity”. The last session of the day was again conducted by Dr.(Mrs.) M Dutta on “e-Content Generation Media Tools”.

The fourth day started with most widely discussed topic “How to set Question Papers” by Dr. (Mrs.) S P Bedi. The next session was on “Entrepreneurship Development” delivered by Dr. S K Dhameja. Finally the last session of the day was Panel Discussion on “Expectations of Industry from Technical Graduates”.

The first session of the last day of the programme was conducted by Dr. M P Poonia on “Sustainable Development: Role of Teachers”. The second session was views of Experts in Guidance and Counseling. Finally the programme was ended with the Course Evaluation and Valediction with presence of Dr. M P Poonia, Dr. P K Tulsi and Dr. S S Patnaik.

The training programme was beneficial as it discussed various student related topics like planning and organizing practical work in labs, how to set up question papers etc.
