Electronics and Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a two day workshop on Sixth Sense Botics – “ROBO-ZEST’14” on 29th- 30th October 2013 in collaboration with Robo Species Technologies Pvt. Ltd New Delhi, Aakaar 2014 (IIT Bombay) & International Accreditation Organization (IAO). The purpose of the workshop was to train the students on “Robots”, “Sixth Sense Technology” and “MATLAB” (Matrix Laboratory).

Mr. Raghunath, resource person and eminent Scientist from Robo Species Technologies, talked about the history, branches, concepts and applications of Robotics. He also shared the concepts of designing the ROBOTS using various sensors and microcontrollers. Students were provided with a programming kit with which theydesigned and programmed their own robots.

Students from various departments ECS, ME, ECE & CSE attended the workshop. They got hands on information about the ROBODUINO; the software used to program and feed the data into ROBOTS for their functionality.

Later there was a competition among the students to make a Line-Follower Robot using only one sensor.The team of students from ECS Vth Sem, Anuj Yadav, Parul Malhan, Sweta Singh, Ravi Ahuja amd Uday Shankar won the First Prize. Students Apporv Sharma, Jatin, Atul and Ankit Malik from ECS Vth Semester won the Second Prize. Third Prize was won by Vijay Kumar, Tamanna, Aman, Jitendra from ECS Vth Sem and Gautam Yadav from ME IIIrd Sem.
