A group of 40 students from the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited the International trade fair “Electronica and Productronica India 2013” on 4th September 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi where electronic components, systems and applications where exhibited.

Around 250 exhibitors, representing 525 companies across the globe, like Humiseal ( Drive) Tech, UK; Kaynes Technology India Ltd, Fair Child Semi Conductor H K Ltd, Hongkong; Bright King Co. Ltd, China; NORDSON India ;NGX Technologies Pvt Ltd India; Bosch Automotive Electrical Pvt Ltd, India; IMAG, Germany etc showed their products, solutions and services.All the exhibitors and companies showcased their latest innovations and methods in the field of electronics. The students learnt nascent technical developments in Semiconductors, LED/LCD Displays, Sensor Technologies, Micro Nano Systems, Electronic Design, Automotive Wireless and Other Information Gathering Services etc.

The trade fair got immense support from various electronic associations like Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), Consortium of Electronic Industries of Karnataka (CLIK), LED products Manufacturers’ Association, India (LEDMA), India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), Manufacturers’ Association for Information Technology (MAIT), Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure, Association of India (CMAI) and IPC.

The fair provided a good platform for stakeholders to understand more about the new opportunities and weave their future plans to take advantage of the same. The live display of various machines and equipments helped the students to gain practical knowledge and enhance their outlook towards the current scenario of the industry.
