Winners of the first (zonal) round of Android Competition, held at DCE, Gurgaon on 20th February 2013, along with Prof. Swati Jha, HOD, Electronics and Computer department, went to IIT-BHU to participate in the final National level Android competition. This competition was a part of IIT-BHU’s techno-cultural fest TECHNEX ’13.

Distinguished speakers from Blue Eminence Technology, New Delhi taught them various applications of Android like phone call video player music player, list view, Spinner and Grid view etc.

The first team of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon comprising Apoorv Roll. No. 14607, Jitin Roll. No. 14611 and Bhavesh Roll. No 13155 stood first in the application oriented competition and were awarded with a cash prize of Rs. 15,000. Second team including Anshul Patro, Shalini and Gaurav Gautam; Third team comprising Saurabh Rastogi, Saumya Rastogi, Amit Gupta and Vipul Asri received Third prize on shared basis.

It indeed was a remarkable trip for the whole team and for the college and we are extremely grateful to our college management for bestowing us with this rare opportunity.
