On 9th September 2013 the department of Electronics & Computer Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a Guest Lecture by Mr. Kunal Srivastava on “Strategies for Competitive Examinations”. Mr. Kunal is the topper of Indian Engineering Services (IES-2012). & secured 44th Rank in All India GATE exam 2013.

Introducing the Guest-speaker, Prof. Swati Jha, HOD (Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering) said that the competitive exams are not all about the mugging up the formula and directly applying them; instead a candidate needs to know the principles involved in each concept and derivation. She suggested the students to remain result-oriented and should have self-belief.

A sound scholar Mr. Kunal Srivastava shared various strategies for competitive examinations like GATE, PSU, IAS etc. He highlighted the role of inspiration, confidence, will-power, knowledge, decision-making skills, time management, practice, sharpness in the path of success.

Another speaker Er. Rajesh Kumar, Rajesh, Founder of Engineers Institute of India (EII), told that with the growing modernization along with human needs the competition is also increasing in every sphere of life. He also talked about positive attitude, clarity of every topic, concentration, mock test etc as useful tools for getting success in competitive exams.
