A Virtual Lab Demonstration on “Mechanical Vibration” was conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 22nd October 2013. The objective of this Virtual Lab Demonstration program was to provide the students a suitable environment for learning and experimentation on various topics that require scarce and costly equipments.

Hon’ble Principal Prof.(Dr.) M.N. Hussain inaugurated the program. He outlined the use of Virtual Lab in this Internet era and its advantages over the conventional way of conducting experiments, by having access to follow the latest trends in Science and Technology.

Mr. Vikas Sahu and Mr. Deepak Monga Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Department explained the concepts and conducted demonstration on various experiments utilising virtual laboratory on topics like Free vibration of Spring Mass System, Forced vibration of a Cantileaver beam etc.

It was a good learning experience for the students as they got an opportunity to perform real time experiments in a 3D environment.
