On 12th September 2013 the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE) Club was inaugurated by Dr. Satish Yadav, Hon’ble Chairman of Dronacharya Group of Institutions in the august presence of Mr. Anup Kacker, Executive Director SAE North India Sector, as the Guest of Honour. In his inaugural address Hon’ble Chief-guest motivated the students to generate ideas, design and fabricate innovative projects .

Addressing the students Hon’ble Guest of Honour Mr. Anup Kacker an expert in Chemical Engineering emphasized on the vision to identify and prioritize opportunities and relate novel technologies with new market opportunities especially in the area of Energy. He also shared that SAEINDIA is an affiliated Non-Profit society of SAE International, dedicated to the advancement of mobility community in India. It provides a platform for its members to attend various technical seminars, workshops, conferences and project exhibitions.

SAE also conducts various Competitions like SUPRA SAEINDIA, BAJA SAEINDIA, EFFI CYCLE and AERO DESIGN etc. for the students to enhance their Engineering Design and Project Management skills. Eighty nine students from Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon enrolled for membership in SAE Club.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by student coordinator Mr. Surya Sharma from Mechanical Engineering Department.
