On 23rd August 2013, a group of 170 students from III Semester, Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon alongwith four faculty members (Ms. Dhanashri Chavan, Mr. K. S. Vishwanath, Mr. Lokesh Kumar and Mr. Pankaj Kumar) visited M/s Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd., Neemrana, Rajasthan as Industry-Institute interface.

The students were first introduced to the History of M/s Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. The students were then taken around the factory and each process was explained to them in easy to understand and clear manner. The students could see for themselves how efficiently, hygienically and smoothly the industry was carrying out its manufacturing operations. They saw the automated process plant having different sections like flour-mixing, biscuit-cutting, baking in ovens, cooling, wrapper printing and packaging etc.

After this, a question and answer session was held. The industry visit was useful as the students a learnt a lot of technical attributes and developed the spirit of entrepreneurship.
