On 13th August 2013, Mr. Dharmendra Pal, Associate Professor along with  Siddharth,  VII Semester from Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended  a one-day “Oracle Higher Education Seminar:”, at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi. The program was the initiatives taken by Oracle India in the Higher Education Sector.

The seminar  started with a lecture by Mr. Mohit Phogat, Business Manager, Higher Education, Oracle Corporation, India on “Transform Higher Education : Drive Student Success and Institute Excellence”. He highlighted the impact of the challenges facing higher education today and learn about technology resources, development options and the best practices in the education industry available to meet these challenges. Mr. Madhu Gothandaraman, Solution Consultant, Higher Education, Oracle India discussed about “Managing Student information with Oracle People Soft Campus Solution and its Constituent applications”. Mr. Abhay Kacker, Principal Sales Consultant,Oracle India  discussed about “Manage a comprehensive constituent experience (CX) strategy”.

Other  experts Mr. Deven Pandey, Sales Director, Oracle Polity Automation, Oracle India; Mr. Anand Padmanabhan, Chief Information Officer, Shiv Nadar Foundation & HCL Corporation Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Mohit Phogat, Business Manager, Higher Education, Oracle Corporation, India  discussed about “Policy Automation: Significance for Higher Education”, “Customer Showcase : Challenges and Best Practice” and “Implementation Options–A choice of deployment” respectively.

The seminar concluded with the speech of Mr. Ajay Kapur, Director, Oracle Education Initiatives, Oracle. He discussed various  Oracle Education Programs conducted  in India. The seminar was a great learning opportunity about various Oracle Software available for Higher Education System.
