Drontech 2013

Drontech 2013 - a window of creativity and innovations was organized in the college campuson 16th March 2013. The objective of this technical event was to provide an interdisciplinary forum of confluence for a variety of technical potentials. Inaugurating the Techno fest Drontech-2013, the Chief Guest Shri Deepak Agarwal, Director General, Consultancy Development Centre, DSIR Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi shared his valuable thoughts and experiences with the students. He also appreciated the dedicated, strategic and well-directed efforts of the students in organizing a comprehensive, flagship and enviable technical event.

Besides Dronacharyans, the participants of other colleges across Haryana and NCR like BharatiVidyapeeth Institute of Computer Applications and Mgt., New Delhi and M.M. University, Mullana, Ambala experienced, exposed and exploded their technical understanding and proficiency in various technical events like Project Presentation, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Rangoli Competition & Gaming Arena. The students showcased their technical understanding and proficiency in Papyrus-Paper Presentation on technical topics. The winners of the event were Kulshrestha Yadav, Mohit Sharma, Manish Saini who received a cash prize of Rs. 5100/. In another event, Poster Hunt-Poster Presentation, the participants presented their know-how of technical and current issues in artistic mode. The first winner Aashish Chhabra received a cash prize of Rs. 5100/.

The brilliance of the participants in technical nuances was at its peak in the Project Competition, wherein the participants presented self-designed working projects. The Judge of the events was Dr. V.K. Varun, Scientist “F” and Director (CPIO), DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The first prize was given to theproject entitled Emergency Brake Assist System Using Brake Pedal.This project was fabricated by the students of Mechanical Department- Harkesh Yadav, Nitin Yadav, Rakesh, Nikhil under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering . These winners were also given a cash prize of Rs. 11000/ for the outstanding.

The certificates and prizes were given away by Hon’ble Chief–Guest in the presence of Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad, Dean Academics, All HoDs and other dignitaries. The Chief- Guest along with the judge of the events interacted with the participants.They were impressed with the enthusiasm & interest shown by the participants in Drontech-2013.

This event provided a very good technical platform to the future technocrats and engineers. It bestowed on Dronacharyans the characteristics of determination, passion, teamwork and brotherhood. It was concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Kumar, Convener, Drontech 2013. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to theManagement, Principal, Dean Academics, all HODs, faculty members and students for their contribution and cooperation in making this event a grand success.
