HEALTH CHECK UP

With the motto of providing medical consultation on health and hygiene Dronacharya College of Engineering, Farrukhnagar, Gurgaon in a joint collaboration with "Medanta - The Medicity", Gurgaon organized a one-day free health check-up and awareness programme at the college campus on 5.11.2011.

Inaugurating the health camp, Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) B. M .K. Prasad said that these camps should be held regularly so that the health of the senior citizens, students and other underprivileged people of different areas can be checked and maintained. On behalf of the college management, he expressed his gratitude towards the team of Medanta Hospital for sparing their time and also assured the cooperation for organizing more camps in future too.

A team of eminent doctors comprising Dr. Atma Ram Bansal, Dr. S. K. Taneja, Dr. Manish Kulshreshtha, Dr. Durgesh Kumar along with  technicians participated at the camp. The doctors conducted free tests for blood, sugar, blood pressure, obesity, besides ECG tests, Eye, Nuro test, Glycosylated HB, TSH, Serum Lipid profile, Serum uric acid level, and Urine test etc. This health camp was organized to spread awareness about these illnesses and the ways of preventing them which one generally neglects.

On the same day, Dr. Atma Ram Bansal delivered a useful talk on Epilepsy and Headache. He made the audience aware of its symptoms and cure too.

Many students, senior citizens, faculty & staff members and a large number of people from the rural areas came for check - up and were benefitted with this joint effort of DCE, Gurgaon and Medanta Hospital.
