NSS CAMP

Taking a step towards identifying and solving the needs and problems of the society, NSS unit of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a seven-day special camp from 19 to 25 February 2011. It was inaugurated by Dr J. S. Dhankar, NSS coordinator, M. D. University Rohtak. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Dhankar said that Dronacharya College of Engineering is in dynamic equilibrium with its social, ecological and economical environment. The college has the opportunity to have the maximum number of volunteers in the field of social and national services like NSS, Commonwealth Games, Yamuna Cleanliness Drive etc. It is a leading college in rendering services to humanity through its philanthropic programs as organizing Eye Camp, Blood Donation Camp, Tree plantation etc. Talking about the seven-day special camp, he stated that volunteers would make the people aware on Health & Hygiene, different social issues, cleanliness, pollution control etc.

Addressing the volunteers Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad reiterated the commitment of the college fraternity on taking up social problems as a challenge. He said that the college would encourage the volunteers through providing all possible help in the service of mankind. He expressed his gratitude to Dr. J. S. Dhankar, NSS coordinator MDU Rohtak & Dr. Charnjeet Kaur, State Liaison Officer, Punchkula, Haryana and Mr. Ranjeet Singh, Social Reformer. He also appreciated the initiative taken by Mr. Ashok Kumar, NSS Program officer and Mrs Sangeeta Singla, NSS Program Co-ordinator in making the camp successful.
