Introduction: |
|
“A healthy mind in a healthy body” is the motto of the Health Club. Our College provides excellent facilities for maintaining the physical well being of our students. Our College created the ideal health club environment to help student lead a healthier, fitter lifestyle. Our aim is to provide the highest quality health & fitness services by educating, motivating and creating challenging workouts to enable to achieve student’s health and fitness goal quickly & safely. We ardently believe in -
"He who has health, has hope; and he who has hope, has everything." |
|
Objective: |
"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."- Mahatma Gandhi
The primary objective of our Health Club is to create awareness among the students about the value of health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Eating right, exercising, and sleeping well play an equal role in the prevention of infections and diseases. However, a good sense of self, a loving support network, and the potential for continued personal growth is also important to our overall wellbeing. |
|
Benefits: |
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly."
Siddartha Guatama Buddha
Being in good health can increase a person's self-esteem, which will result in a person feeling good and being happy. Also, living a healthy lifestyle can reduce the chances of acquiring certain diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Maintaining good health requires dedication, time and commitment. Maintaining good health means making positive choices that affects overall health status. |
|
Future Plan of Health Club: |
To becoming a happier and healthier person, we need to make goals regarding good health and stick on to that goal. So we have decided to conduct following Health programs in future. |
|
Meditation for Teenagers:
Meditation is one of the good ways to achieve success in life and getting healthier & happier life. A calm and centered body-mind is the most efficient vehicle for getting projects done. It allows time and space to work through problems in a step-by-step manner; considering the pros and cons of the issues involved. |
|
Health Awareness Program:
As per a recent survey, each year an entire large city disappears from the earth due to tobacco, drugs and narcotics. So to spread knowledge we want to conduct Health Awareness Program. |
|
Health Quizzes and Competition:
Health Quizzes and Competition are the best ways to arouse interest in people regarding Health Issues & basic requirements of keeping Health fit & fine. |
|
Guest Lecturers regarding Health Issues:
A quality guest speaker can engage students in a topic, problem, or issue. Guest speakers can help provide specific knowledge and skills to a group of students. They can also mentor students as they create and implement their action plan regarding Health Issues. |
|
Yoga & Aerobics:
As per study, Aerobic exercise is any extended activity that makes you breathe hard while using the large muscle groups at a regular, even pace. Aerobic activities help make your heart stronger and more efficient. Aerobics increases the blood flow to all body tissues, including the brain. Greater blood flow transports more oxygen and nutrients to the body’s cells hence is an important aspect of health. |
