On 12th August2014, Electronics and Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a one-day seminar in association with GATE Academy Private Ltd. to create awareness about the GATE Exam among the students. The organizing team from our college comprised of Ms. Parul Bansal Assistant Professor, Electronics & Computer Engineering and 10 students from various branches.

The team of six members Mr. Bhoopendra Singh (Speaker), Mr. Ashwini Khanna (Speaker), Mr. Rahul Singh (Speaker), Ms. Surbhi (Team Member), Ms. Geeta (Team Member), Mr. Atul (Team Member), of GATE Academy organized the sessionsfor five engineering branchesat Dronacharya College of Engineering.

The GATE Academy team started the session with some brief introduction about GATE Academy Private Ltd. They covered all major aspects of the GATE exam and helped the student in clearing various doubts regarding the need and importance of appearing in the exam and achieving a good percentile and valid score.They briefed about the numerous opportunities to students which they can get after clearing the GATE Exam.The team gave a detailed overview of the features of GATE examination. Around 400 students from V and VII semesters of various branches (ECS, CSE, Civil, IT, ME & ECE) of our college participated in the seminar. They informed the students about the important dates related to the examination such as the starting date for the registration of GATE Exam and last date of submission of application. A rough idea of the cutoff marks for clearing the GATE Exam was also discussed.

The sessions were very informative and interactive. The Gate Academy Team embarked the confidence in the students and made them aware about the strategic ways for preparing of the GATE Exam.
