Civil Engineering covers the broadest spectrum of the engineering fields.
It focuses on the analysis, design, construction and maintenance of the
infrastructures which include Bridges, Roads, Railway Tracks, Airfields,
Water Supply System, Sewers, Dams, Power Plants, Transmission Towers, Tunnels, Irrigation Canals, Traffic Control, Mass transit, Skyscrapers, Industrial Plant/Buildings etc. Among the important subdivisions of the field are Construction Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering, Hydraulics, Coastal and Ocean Engineering, Environmental and Sanitation Engineering.

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, is all set to support and facilitate the budding Civil Engineers. Our main aim is to equip each student with power of knowledge so that they can emerge as most probable contestants with technical, managerial and administrative capabilities. To enhance their technical skills, we have a team of experienced and qualified faculties and staff who are committed to serve students with untiring zeal and enthusiasm. Engineering cannot be imagined without practical training. We provide well equipped laboratories to perform experiments and endeavor to provide better technical facilities in days to come. In addition, use of computer for drawing, analysis and design of Civil Engineering structures with AutoCAD, STAAD and other software have all become part of Civil Engineering. To develop managerial and administrative capabilities of students, they are assigned different duties and responsibilities to perform under the guidance of experienced teachers. We try not to leave any stone unturned to motivate and inspire the students. Discipline is and will remain an important aspect of the life of a student. We try to inculcate this quality as a natural habit in the students. We also emphasize on the extra-curricular activities, model making, projects and general proficiency in order to develop the overall skills and knowledge of the students. We continue the effort to prepare and guide the students for the various competitive exams and interviews so that they can come in flying colors in those areas also. Real world problems are blended in the curriculum and these are taught by experts from industry in addition to guest lectures. |
