INVENTI-NOVO

A two-day workshop on Ideating, Inventing and Patenting was conducted from 12th-13th March 2013 organized by Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering in association with Inventi-Novo Trail Consortium, Bhopal with an aim to trigger innovativeness to young mind and to make the participants aware regarding ideating game , patent-drafting exercise and patent-filling form etc.

The eminent personality and Vice-President of Inventi-Novo Trail Consortium, Bhopal, Dr. V. B. Gupta enlightened the participants regarding generation of ideas, innovativeness and patenting. Talking about the advantages of patentable ideas, invention and patent-protection, the Guest-speaker Dr. Gupta expressed that patents may also serve as a barrier to entry for competitors who are contemplating entering the market for patenting services. He also emphasized that the patent is a kind of contract between the inventor and society.

The workshop was rationaland useful as more than 500 students from different branches participated in this workshop and learnt about idea generation, invention, creativity and patenting. The workshop ended with certificate distribution ceremony and a vote of thanks by Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
