Mr. Lokesh Kumar Assistant Professor and Mr. Pankaj Kumar Assistant Professor from Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a two-day workshop on NPTEL AWARENESS organized at Jan Nayak Chaudhary Devi Lal College of Engineering, Sirsa (Haryana) in association with IIT, Delhi; IIT, Madras and IIT, Roorkee from 07th to 8th February 2014.

The objective of this workshop was to enhance the quality of teaching with innovate approach and develop creativity through online Web and Video courses in Engineering, Science and Humanities streams.

The workshop was inaugurated by the Convener Prof. Khushal Sen, Textile Engineering Department, IIT Delhi and Mr. Dushyant Singh Chautala followed by lectures delivered by Prof. Harish Hirani and Prof. Prem Kalra, Mechanical Engineering Department, IIT Delhi. They shared their vies on making lectures more effective, interactive and interesting. Prof. Khushal Sen delivered a talk on MCQs and suggested some important web-links from NPTEL website.

The distinguished academician and expert in NPTEL Prof. Bikash Mohanty, IIT Madras discussed about different nature of learners like Active learners, Reflective learners, Sensing, Intuitive learners. The workshop ended in the august presence of the Chief-Guest Dr. Rajesh Nathani, Director, South African Airlines and Member Human Resources Committee of India; The Guest of Honor Dr. M. L. Bansal Principal, Govt. Engineering College, Panniwala Mota, Sirsa and Dr. M. S. Bhal.

The workshop was useful and informative as the attendees learnt more about more online courses through NPTEL and also downloaded videos to make their lectures more interactive.
