Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in association with NITTTR, Chandigarh MHRD, Govt. of India conducted a five day Workshop on Induction Training Program through ICT from 13th to 17th January 2014.

The aim of this programme was to enable the faculty members to understand the Process of curriculum development, principles and process of e-content generation, Media Tools, the Strategies for developing Creativity and Innovations, Entrepreneurship Development, Industry Institute Interaction, Process of Instructional Planning and Delivery, Writing Research Proposals and Papers, Oral Communication, Industrial leadership, Intellectual property rights, Setting question papers, Quality assurance in teaching, Sustainable development etc. In the 21st century, an ability to work with information and communication technologies is becoming as essential to education, life and workplace success. This workshop covered all aspects of teaching -learning approaches.

The Course Coordinator for this program was Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Tulsi from NITTTR, Chandigarh who encouraged and motivated the faculty members for their inclusive participation at every step. Various academicians and speakers like Dr. M.P. Poonia, Dr. S.S. Pattnaik, Dr. M. Dutta, Dr. S K Dhameja, Dr. B S Pabla, Dr. Rakesh Wats, Dr. Sunil Dutt, Er. Amar Dev Singh, Dr. B.S. Pabla enlightened the participants through their lectures and clarified the doubts and queries elevated. After every session, an Interactive Session was held where eminent faculty members of the participating Colleges like Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida; Vaish College of Engineering, Rohtak; Baddi University, Himachal Pradesh etc. shared their views regarding topics discussed through video conferencing.

Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) M N Hussain also appreciated the effort for conducting such Training Programmes. Prof. Vishal Bharti, the Local Coordinator and HOD (CSE) delivered a vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude to the organizing team of NITTTR, Chandigarh and the attendees.
