On 6th February, 2014 a visit to Auto Expo Show of Auto Components, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon for a group of 193 students from IV and VI Semesters. The students were accompanied by the faculty coordinators Mr. Amit Narwal, Mrs. Rashi Koul, Mr. Pankaj Kumar and Mr. Salim Khan.

The Auto Expo was organized by ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India), CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufactures). Mr. Pramod MP, Trade Fairs Department, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) guided the students during the visit. Indian Industries namely Eicher, 3D Styling, A V Engineering, Amtek Auto, Balaji Spring Pvt. Ltd. etc. as well as Global Industries like GMBH (Germany), Auto Clover Co. Ltd. (Korea), Auroral Sinter Metal Co. Ltd. (Taiwan), Ballard Power System (Canada) exhibited their automobile components in the show.

The students have shown keen interest in the exhibition and gained practical knowledge about the auto parts and their functioning of various components viz. Piston, Springs, Engine, Suspension System, Gear Box, Batteries, Differential, Axle, Leaf spring, Cranckshafts, Connecting rods etc. The visit was very educative to the students as they from practical exposure point of view.
