INDUSTRIAL VISIT ON PANASONIC PLCs & SCADA

AT CETPA INFOTECH PVT LTD, NOIDA

Fifty two students of IV & VI Semester from EEE Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering accompanied by faculty members, Mr. Chandra Shekhar Singh (Associate Professor) and Mr. Mahipal Bukya (Assistant Professor) participated in an industrial visit on Panasonic PLCs & SCADA at CETPA Infotech Pvt. Ltd., Noida on 27th January 2015.

CETPA in association with Panasonic organised this industrial visit to demonstrate students regarding the practical implementation of the PLCs and use of SCADA software in the industry.

Mr. Gagandeep, of CETPA introduced the company profile and the importance of PLCs and SCADA in the industry. He took the theoretical session to understand the basic building block of PLCs and their structural use in the Panasonic Industry. The Theoretical Session was well divided into 4 topics. He started off with Introduction to Automation and Introduction to PLCS and continued about Ladder Logic Programming. He also explained about the SCADA Tools to the participants.

Next the participants were shown the working of Panasonic PLCs prototype model. This model was very much useful in the understanding of the industrial automation and use of PLCs. The company experts also showed the various project modules on the PLCs. This industrial visit motivated the students to come up with innovative and industry oriented projects on PLCs.

The entire team appreciated and thanked the company executives for their hospitality. On the whole, the visit was very fruitful as it gave an opportunity to the students to learn various fundamental concepts of the modules on the PLCs.
