Two faculty members Ms. Chandra Mukherjee and Ms. Pratibha Bharti from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one-day Engineering and Science Innovation Summit organized by National Instruments, New Delhi on 24th February, 2014.

The objective of this summit was to bridge the gap between industry and academia, and help colleges adopt state-of-the-art technologies for improving the quality of Engineering & Science education in India.

Inaugurating the summit, Mr. Karun Jain, Academic Technical Consultant, National Instruments said that with the current scenario of independent working of Industries and Academic institutes, there is a great need to meet the demands of the core engineering industry. He emphasized that there is also a need for achieving the continuous quality improvement objectives of Higher Education by equipping educational laboratories with interdisciplinary teaching-learning process which are experiential.

During the summit Mr. Harsh, Application Engg, National Instruments and other speakers shared their views on Robotics, Digital Communication, Embedded Control, Signals and System, Image and Video Analysis, Mechatronics Structural Analysis ,FM,DSB, SSB, PAM, PCM,PWM,SNR, Sampling and PCM,NI Communication System Design Lab, block diagram approach to modeling Digital Communication Systems, NI Biomedical Lab Series, portable lab etc.

The summit was interactive, informative and useful as the participants got opportunity to have hands on practice of coding using LABVIEW and learnt other technical concepts .
