Learning is a continuous and endless process and does not finishes with the acquisition of a degree, especially because steady and rapid advances in Computing Technologies shorten the life of tools and techniques prevalent today. Therefore, we give our students a strong foundation in IT, problem solving techniques and made them adaptable to changes. Right from its inception, the Department of Information Technology has been offering excellent infrastructural & teaching facilities with a variety of computing platforms to aspiring professional students to meet the burgeoning demands of the IT industry. Our aim is to produce proficient technocrats whose skills, innovative ideas and proficiency can make them understand the complex, fast and ever changing IT environment.

Over the years we have developed a distinct style and method that bridges the theory - practice divide while remaining grounded in the core. We believe that this approach to teaching-learning, coupled with practical experience gained during Industrial Training in reputed organizations, equips our students to handle the challenges posed by the IT industry. The department gives exposure to its students, to not only the regular Engineering curriculum but also to the aspirations of today's corporate world, by inculcating a professional attitude in them. Our labs, with latest sate of the art facilities and unlimited Internet facility, give our students a cutting edge in technical exploration and enhance their information search and analysis skills. In depth knowledge of networking, database & multimedia is also provided to students with world recognized & acclaimed international certifications to make them world class professionals in these aforesaid specializations. The department has played an instrumental role in signing MOUs with industry giants like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco etc. and students are provided with the opportunity to choose any of the platform to expertise on. The project which is an important part of their curriculum, not only gives them a chance to understand and explore their area of interest, but it will be an important aspect in their contribution to the company they would join after the degree. Students of our department have brought laurel to the college in various national & state level project competitions.

We at Information Technology Department instruct futuristic technical education and install high patterns of discipline through our dedicated faculty members who shall set global standards. Making our students technically superior and ethically strong, who in turn shall advance the quality of life, to promote Research and Development in the frontier areas of Information Technology, to generate competent professionals to become part of the industry and research organizations at the national & international levels. The result of the hard work is reflecting in the performance of our students in placements (100% placement of 2014 Batch), University results (50 University merits in 2013 – Maximum in entire university) and projects (Projects of our students has won the first prize at many places including the CSI national level Project Competition held at Vishakhapatnam).
