Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an industrial visit to Vulcan Forge Pvt. Ltd., IMT Manesar under SAEINDIA Student Chapter of DCE Gurgaon on 29thMarch, 2017. Fifty-three students from ME, CSIT and ECS Department along with Mr. Manish Kumar Mishra (Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department) visited the plant.

The main objective of the visit was to make students aware about the various activities related to nut and bolt manufacturing. Vulcan Cold Forge is an ISO 9001:2008 certified manufacturer of nuts, bolts, screws, rivets, and specialty cold forged fasteners such as nipples, sockets, and casing caps up to 80mm length with through and through holes. Vulcan Cold Forge Industry is a prominent supplier of a wide range of stainless steel nuts and bolts. Vulcan Cold Forge is a main vendor of Maruti Suzuki and Tata Company.

The Head of the production department gave an introduction about the company to all the students. The students learnt about Nut and Bolt Production and the steps involved in the production. There was also a session in which the students interacted with the officials.

Overall, the visit to the plant was very informative and educative for the students.
