The Information Technology and CSIT department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an industrial visit to Sahasra Electronics Pvt. Ltd. on 11th February, 2016. Total fifty students from the departments took part in the visit.

Sahasra Electronics Pvt. Ltd. is involved in PCB Design, PCB Manufacturing, PCB Assemblies, EMS, LED Lighting etc. It has over 1lac sq. ft. of manufacturing space with latest technology equipment.

The students were welcomed by Mr. Ashish, Senior Executive of Sahasra Sambhav. Mr. Vikas Kushawa, marketing head, gave a brief lecture about the company and discussed all the career options for students of Electrical/Electronic branch. Students were taken into the R&D section in a group of 8 to 10 with a tour guide who explained what was happening in each section of the industry.

Mr. Vikas gave a presentation on the process of designing of PCB. He briefed about the components used to make PCB and discussed the two types of machines which were used to place the components on PCB board. He also discussed the testing process of LED. Next the students visited the R&D Department, where PCB manufacturing and testing was being done and finally the LED manufacturing shop.

The visit was knowledgeable for the students as they came to know about skill development and various topics related to it and they also came to know about the manufacturing unit of the company.
