Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology organized a technical fest, “Avensis 2016”, on 3rd - 4th February, 2016. Ms. SHIKHA (17934) student of CSIT department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon participated in the event.

There was a huge participation from students in the fest. Following are the technical events that are being held in Avensis 2016.

ANONYMOUS - SECURITY BASED EVENT:

The event was for the security enthusiasts. The event covered a wide range of security concepts including Cryptography, Website Security and many more topics.

ALGOJAM:

At Algojam participants worked on Algorithms that tested their output and efficiency within a very short time. It was a team event with maximum of 3 candidates per team. The participants had the opportunity to learn new skills. This event was represented by GDG team.

LAN Gaming:

Avensis presented the event of Android Gaming to all the Gamers who love to Play Games. LAN gaming was a multiplayer gaming event. It was a temporary gathering of people with computers or compatible game consoles, between which they establish a local area network, primarily for the purpose of playing multi player video games.

ONLINE CODING:

It was a Programming event. It needed a Computer and an Internet Connection. It made the students ready to solve the real world problems with their programming skills.

TECHVILLA:

Techvilla is an event which was for all those who have written any research paper or made any app or any working model .This event provided students with an excellent opportunity to test their presentation skills and knowledge regarding the research paper, app or model.

DESIGN:

Participants had to choose from a range of themes provided to them. Each theme contained a set of vector elements and some basic designs which the participants have to incorporate in their mini project.

ROBOTICS:

The event was all about seeing something that doesn’t exist already. The participants needed to explore how they could bring it into being. Robotics was the most exciting part of AVENSIS. Carnage, Junkyard Wars, LFR, Robo Maze, Robo Rugby were the games played by MANUALLY CONTROLLED BOTS. In the event, there was a competition Robowar in which two or more robots fought to win.

LITERARY:

The participants of this event played the role as a journalist would be to cover the array of events( name,schedule, theme,caption ,details etc.), students participation, chief guests, director, teachers present there, cash sponsorships, any communication partner .

Biz - Tech Quiz:

The event was for tech-savvy as well as into brands and companies. The question related to anything and everything related to the world of Business and Technology were there in the quiz .

PHOTOGRAPHY:

An event on photography was also conducted at the fest. The participants showed their photographic skills at the event.

The fest was fun filled and educational in nature. The students participating in it learned a lot through a healthy competition.
