ANNUAL SPORTS WEEK

In addition to imparting academic excellence, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon  lays special emphasis on all round development of the students. Following its tradition, the college organized Annual Sports Week from 19-24 February, 2011. During this week, the college was adorned with multi-colored flags. Students from different streams participated in sports and games. Races, Cricket, Volleyball, Tug of war, and several other activities filled the grand playground of the college with charm and cheerfulness. Dr. Satish Yadav, Hon’ble Chairman of Dronacharya Group of Institutions presided over the Sports Function as the Chief Guest and gave away prizes, tantalizing trophies and scintillating shields to the winners and runners up on closing ceremony, 24 February 2011.

Motivating the students, Hon’ble Chaiman expressed that Dronacharya Group seeks to instill in each student those qualities of healthy mind and character that are imperative for innovation, incisiveness coupled with judicious leadership, good citizenship and ethical conduct. Addressing the students, Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) B. M. K. Prasad appreciated the students for participating in sports with a great zest and zeal.

The sports function was concluded with the Sports-in-charge Prof. (Dr.) H. S. Dua’s vote of thanks. On behalf of the students, staff and faculty members, he expressed his gratitude to the Management, Hon’ble Principal, Dean Academics and all HODs for providing all possible help and cooperation.
