NSS Unit at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a one-day camp on 29th November 2012 on the theme of “Tree -Plantation and Cleanliness Drive” to provide an environment conducive for democratic and cooperative way of life in society.
Inaugurating the Camp, the Dean, Prof. (Dr.) Onkar Singh addressed that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole. He stressed that the college has opportunity to have a large number of NSS Volunteers in the field of social services.
The program officers-Mr. Ashok Kumar and Mrs. Sangeeta Singla motivated the volunteers and made them aware about General Health, Stress Management, Time Management, Child Labour, Rain Water Harvesting, Literacy Campaigning etc.
More than 150 volunteers participated and cooperated in the tree-plantation and cleanliness drive. The camp concluded with a vote of thanks by the Program Officer - Mrs. Sangeeta Singla. She expressed her gratitude to the magnanimous Management, Hon’ble Principal, all HOD’s, faculty members and volunteers for their cooperation.
