Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering organized a two days workshop on PCB DESIGNING USING EAGLE CADSOFT in association with “Uvsofts Technologies Pvt. Ltd. & IIT BHU, Varanasi” on 7th & 8th Aug 14. The workshop was attended by thirty seven students from ECE and EEE branch.

PCB Designing is one of the emerging fields of Electronics in today’s era for the students of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Introduction session consisted of detailed theoretical part where topics like PCB & Analog Circuit Designing, Basics of Hardware & Software, IC Packing layout, Basics of Electronics Components, etc were described. The afternoon session dealt with the basic introduction of the EAGLE CADSOFT software and its simulation part. All the features of software for further practical implementation in designing of PCB were discussed and students were shown how effectively they could use this tool for fabrication purposes.

Mr. Madhu Sudan from Uvsofts Technologies Pvt. Ltd. conducted the entire training session for designing processes . The students learnt the design and creation of a printed circuit board using EAGLE CADSOFT PCB design software with various active and passive components.

The concluding session was scheduled in a manner that every individual student was able to solve the problem of PCB design practically. The students underwent the series of steps of PCB designing like printing, coating, selective etching, annealing and washing of samples.

This workshop enriched the knowledge of designing PCB using the latest and advanced software and all 37 participating students got real hands on experience using software for designing PCB. The workshop had been very useful to the students
