SEMINAR ON C++ AND JAVA BY NIIT, GURGAON ON 11 SEP 14

 

Department of ECE organized a seminar on C++ and Java for ECE final year students conducted by NIIT. Ms Deepmala Moorjani and Mr. Mohit faculty members from NIIT covered the following topics.

1. Introduction and basic features of C++ language

2. Introduction and basic features of JAVA

3. Difference between C and C++ language

4. Diffrenece between C++ and JAVA.

5. Explanation of few C ++ programmes

6. Explanation of few JAVA programmes

 

Mr. Mohit started with the introduction of C language and the basic tools for C & explained the salient features of C++ many other object-oriented languages have been developed, including most notably, Smalltalk. He enunciated the best features of C++ and also discussed various areas of applications of C++. He demonstrated a few programmes on C++ and discussed pros and cons of the language.

 

Ms. Murjani explained JAVA programming basics & features ,general-purpose, concurrent, class-based, object-oriented computer programming language that is specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It relies on a Java virtual machine to be secure and highly portable. Java is a statically typed object-oriented language that uses similar syntax to C++. In the concluding session, she answered all queries asked by the students.

 

The seminar was extremely useful to final year students. The knowledge of basic concepts of C, C++ and JAVA will help students to enhance their placement chances.
