SHORT TERM COURSE ON “CURRENT MODE ANALOG CIRCUITS”

Mr. Ajit Kumar, Assistant Professor from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a five day short term course on “Current Mode Analog Circuits” conducted at Department of Electronics Engineering, Indian School of Mines (ISM), Dhanbad from 13th January to 17th January 2014.

The distinguished faculty  members from ISM Prof. Sajal K. Paul, Mr. Rajeev Kumar and Dr. Ashish Ranjan along with Mr. Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology, Dwarahat, U.K. discussed the technical applications of Analog Circuits: Current Mode Approach, Translinear Circuit Design Principle; Applications of CMBB (Amplifiers, Filters, Oscillators); Oscillator using CDTA and DDCC OTRA based Analog Multiplier, the Signal Bias point Analysis, Transient Analysis, Sweep Analysis, AC Analysis, Total Harmonic Distortion and Sensitivity Analysis etc. They also elaborated the design of Active Inductance Simulator using OTRA and Non-ideality of CCCII in detailing addition to the design improvements techniques.

The course was beneficial as the attendees learnt the advantages of current mode blocks in the realizations of analog circuits.
