PDGC-2014 served as an international forum for researchers and practitioners interested in recent advances in the areas of parallel, distributed and grid computing. It provided an opportunity to present and exchange advanced scientific and technological information in hardware, software and theoretical foundation in these areas. A number of invited speakers presented their topics which dealt with the very basics of research work as well as the latest developments in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology & Computer Engg.
