On 11th September 2014, Three students of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon and other colleges from NCR participated in the one day project exhibition Techno-Avishkar 14, organised by RIET (Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology).

The theme of the project exhibition was “Electronics for Defence”. In total 32 projects namely Wireless Gesture Robotic Arm, Internet Controlled Gun, Ultra Sonic Target Detector, Human Detector Alarm in Border Area, Flood Control Avoidance System, Remote Controlled appliances, RFID based Security System, Energy Management Saving System, Collab Draw etc. were exhibited. The team of three students (Abhijit Ashish, Gaurav Gautam and Anil Kumar) from Dronacharya College of Engineering won the second prize for their project, “Wireless Gesture Robotic Arm”.

All these projects were prepared by the students and the motive was to minimize the casualties during war in border areas & design new ways to help the defence forces to communicate.

This project exhibition was judged by a team of experts from Industry and Academia; consisting of Mr. Rahul Johri GM of Broadband Department of MTNL New Delhi, Mr. Bhupender Singh, Network Operation Centre, MTNL, New Delhi and Dr. Munish Vashisht from YMCA, Faridabad respectively. The 1st prize was won by team of Internet Controlled Gun, the 2nd prize by Wireless Gesture Robotic Arm and 3rd prize by Human Detector Alarm in Border area and Ultra Sonic Target Detector.
